Barrel House Opens First Franchise
The Barrel House team celebrated the grand opening of their first franchise restaurant, located in Bloomington, Illinois.
The endeavor to franchise the Barrel House brand spanned over nearly a year. Starting in November 2021 with the sale of the franchise license. The Bloomington Barrel House team was phenomenal to work with from the moment the process was initiated, taking an active role in all integral parts of owning their franchise and opening their own Barrel House restaurant.The synergy built between the two teams allowed flexibility in every aspect of their growth; from the build-out, renovations, strategy, training, franchising process, to the milestone of the grand opening.
Barrel House originated in 2011, in Davenport, Iowa, by Jimmy Holt. Holt is a local entrepreneur and business owner. In 2020, nearly a decade after the Barrel House origin, Holt and his team set out to develop a franchise program for Barrel House. While working alongside a top developer in franchise brand development, the Barrel House team was able to complete all requirements to franchise and launch the Barrel House Franchise Campaign in the Fall of 2021.

By focusing on elements like organizational culture, guest experience, technology advancements, and emphasizing quality brand standards, Barrel House has positioned themselves for long-term growth.
